Tuition Installment Payment Plans
A college education....one payment at a time.
What is a tuition installment payment plan?
A tuition installment payment plan allows students and families to make monthly installment payments to a school to pay for tuition, and room and board. Usually these installment payments are spread over 10 months, beginning in May or June for the upcoming school year.
What are some of the benefits to students and families?
- Instead of making two or three lump sum payments, plan participants can make smaller payments over a period of 10 months.
- The opportunity to make smaller payments on a monthly basis allows many students and families to minimize the amount they need to borrow in student loans.
- Payments are interest free.
What are some of the benefits to schools?
- By offering this payment option to students and parents, schools make higher education more affordable for many families. In some cases, tuition installment payment plans can make the difference between a student attending school or not.
- These plans improve cash flow for schools because tuition payments are received throughout the summer months in advance of the tuition due date. Payment schedules can be adjusted to match a school’s academic calendar.
- Schools can earn income as the collected funds earn interest.
- Tuition installment plans are easy to set up and administer — let us do the work!
Who will administer the plan?
- Nonprofit Student Assistance Foundation will administer the plan with support from partners including Higher Education Services, Inc.
What can we do for your school?
- We can:
- Market the plan
- Process enrollment applications
- Collect and process payments
- Provide call center support to participants
- Offer online access to reports for students and schools
